Early morning niceness

Published by dave under General

There are some things nice about being up early in the morning.

Although, for the most part, I think sleep wins over them all.

October 3 is a good day

For a couple of reasons:

  1. The NHL regular season starts in the US (LA and Anaheim have already played a series overseas in London).
  2. Top scorer in 2007, Sidney Crosby

#2. San Jose’s own Joe Thornton

  3. Microsoft has refreshed the Zune to a point where I want to buy it. I really liked the Zune from the beginning, especially for it’s big mother screen and FM tuner (handy in the gym if you want to run while watching TV), but it was always so BIG and UGLY. Now, they’ve thinned it up a bit, made the screen even bigger (3.2″, compared to 2.5″ on the iPod classic and 3.5″ on the iPod touch/iPhone) and also added wireless synching with your computer.

The 80GB model also comes with cool “premium” cloth cabled, noise cancelling earbuds
  4. I’ve decided that I’m buying an xbox 360. NHL 2008 just looks too good. The dual analog control scheme (check out the “Playbook” tab) seems like something that just makes a whole lot of sense and all the reviews I’ve read have pretty much said that this is the best hockey game ever made. Halo 3 is pretty damn fun. It’s a lot of money, esp with the Zune, but dammit, I got thoroughly sucked in by the Halo 3 launch.

Here’s some xkcd for you.
